Duncan Creek - 1990-01-03

Summary

Duncan Creek residents were busy during the Christmas season, with many families gathering for holiday celebrations. Clara Greene was visited by her grandson and enjoyed time with her daughters Linda and the Colemans in Barron. The Jaworski family had a full house, overflowing with cars and guests, while Sandy Nelson combined a visit to Amy's with a check-up at the Cloutiers. The Kellen family managed to bring everyone home for Christmas despite the snowy weather. We received calls from Richard in Idaho, Ellen in California, and Erving checking on us. Aunt Esther’s address was shared for recipe exchanges. After a frigid cold spell, temperatures finally rose above zero. Congratulations were extended to Hubert Smith and Owen Thompsons on their 40 years of marriage, and Pat & Joyce Kellen on their 20th anniversary. The Gene Petersons are planning to retire from farming with an auction in March. Rich and Kate Fehr hosted a holiday gathering for friends like Lim Christianson and Gloria Hambers. Happy birthday wishes were extended to Susie, Barb, Bud, Esther, Lorna, Margaret, Debbie, George, Louise, Lola, Bill, Dianne, and others. The D.C. Women’s Club will meet in Chetek on Tuesday, with more details yet to be shared.

Duncan Creek - when after the fuss

been such a bad year after all.
It was hard, indeed to keep track of

the particulars of who were there is
missing, though it was a happy
gathering. The Jaworski's would
have had a hard time getting out of
the yard if they'd chosen to go. The
place was full of cars, not all made it
home but the place over-flowed. I do
know Kitty made it, because that

showed up at our house. The Kellen's
